Man United enquire about re-signing 29-year-old sold by Louis van Gaal – report

Manchester United have enquired about the possibility of re-signing Javier Hernandez as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his strike force, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the 29-year-old Mexico forward is among a number of targets Manchester United have looking into in the January transfer window.
The same report says that Manchester United have also made initial enquiries about the likes of Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez as the Red Devils seek their first January signing.
The story says that Manchester United are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this month as Mourinho looks to give his team the best possible chance of catching Manchester City in the race for the title. Hernandez was sold by Manchester United to Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015 when Louis van Gaal was manager at Old Trafford.
The same report says that West Ham United are willing to listen to offers for the former Manchester United striker, and that re-signing him would be easier for the Red Devils than trying to land Sanchez or Vardy.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Stoke City at Old Trafford on Monday night.
