Teenage Manchester United forward Charlie McNeill is heading out on another loan move as he is set to join League One side Stevenage.

The 19-year-old prospect spent the second half of last season on loan with Newport County in League Two with limited success, scoring two goals in 20 appearances.

However, Manchester Evening News reports that he is going to step up in level this campaign and have a crack at League One on a season-long loan with Stevenage.

The youngster has been an eye-catching performer at youth level for United and for Manchester City.

McNeill started his young career with the Red Devils, moved to City where he played from 2014-20 before United re-signed him for a reported £750,000.
He has been prolific in front of goal for both sides of Manchester at youth level and made his first team debut for the Red Devils last season in the Europa League.

Despite United being somewhat short of options when it comes to strikers, McNeill is clearly not seen as ready to compete in the Premier League just yet.

He will hope to impress with Stevenage, who have made an impressive start to their League One campaign, sitting fifth in the table after five games, winning three of them.
