Manchester United secured a stunning Champions League win over Juventus to breathe new life into their European campaign.
Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to have secured Juventus’ qualification as Group H winners with a stunning volley, but the Serie A champions were made to pay for their profligacy in front of goal and an uncharacteristic late defensive collapse.
The Serie A champions comprehensively outplayed Jose Mourinho’s side a fortnight ago at Old Trafford, and looked to be heading for similarly comfortable victory on home soil until a dramatic finale.
Jose Mourinho made two changes from the side which beat Bournemouth at the weekend with Jesse Lingard stepping in for Juan Mata and Ander Herrera replacing the hapless Fred. Their inclusion added energy and mobility to a United side that held their own in the opening period.
