Erik ten Hag has named a centre-half partnership of Harry Maguire and Casemiro for Manchester United in their FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.
United were dealt a major blow on Saturday after it emerged Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat and Willy Kambwala will all miss today’s clash through injury.
United are already beset by injury problems at the back with Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane all unavailable.
A shortage of options has seen Kambwala join Harry Maguire at the heart of defence with the 19-year-old starting United?s last two games. His absence leaves Maguire as United’s only available option with Casemiro stepping in today.
Antony missed the trip to Bournemouth last weekend with United this week denying rumours that absence had stemmed from a falling out with ten Hag.
The club have said the Brazil international missed out with a minor injury with Antony pictured back in training on Tuesday, named among the subs today.
Alejandro Garnacho, hauled off at half-time in that 2-2 draw, was also pictured at Carrington after his post-match social media activity following that game came under the spotlight.
