Ralf Rangnick in talks over Bayern Munich job to replace Thomas Tuchel

Former Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed he’s held talks with Bayern Munich over becoming their next manager.
Thomas Tuchel, who has been linked with replacing Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, will step aside at the end of the season.
Bayern had hoped to appoint Xabi Alonso, who has just ended Bayern’s 11-year winning run of Bundesliga titles with Bayer Leverkusen.
But the Spaniard has opted to stay with the newly-crowned German champions and options are thin on the ground.
Rangnick was appointed Austria’s manager following his seven-month stint at Old Trafford.
The German once revolutionised the Bundesliga with spells at Ulm, Stuttgart, Hannover, Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig and most famously Schalke.

And Rangnick has confirmed that Bayern have been in touch, though he says they most confirm they want to appoint him if he’s to seriously consider a move.

Asked when he would need to consider that interest seriously, Rangnick said: “If Bayern say: ‘We want you.’
‘And then I would also have to ask myself: ‘Do I really want this"’
