Rio Ferdinand reacts to Man United’s 2-1 win at Juventus

Rio Ferdinand couldn’t disguise his delight after Manchester United scored an added-time goal to secure a famous 2-1 win at Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Manchester United looked to be in big trouble when their former talisman Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 65th minute with an instinctive finish to finally end David De Gea’s resistance in the Red Devils goal.
Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado squandered chances to extend the home side’s lead and put the contest to bed before Massimiliano Allegri brought on Andrea Barzagli to reinforce his defence.
With Valencia winning against Young Boys in the early kick-off to hoist themselves above Manchester United, the Red Devils were facing the prospect of a difficult trip to Valencia in their final group game. However, Paul Pogba won a late free-kick and Juan Mata beat former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the Juventus goal with five minutes of normal time.
Substitute Marouane Fellaini played a huge role in Manchester United’s winner after his presence in the area caused confusion from an Ashley Young free-kick before Alex Sandro bundled the ball into his own goal.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand couldn’t contain his joy after a dramatic 2-1 win over Juventus to move to within two points of the group leaders.
Ferdinand wrote on Twitter: “UNITED @ManUtd”
He added: “Love it….. @juanmata8 ”
