Chris Hughton to be interviewed for Championship job only days after leaving Brighton – Report

A lot has been said about Chris Hughton since his dismissal from Brighton some 48 hours ago.
Whilst Brighton fans generally seemed to feel it was the right time to say thank you and goodbye…
Many neutrals and pundits thought he had been badly done to.

Chris Hughton did a brilliant job at Newcastle United and WAS badly done to by Mike Ashley.
However, I think I side with the majority of Brighton fans on this one.
There has been a 130m net spend on players these past three years, even if Chris Hughton may not have had total control on who came and went and the fact is that they only survived this season due to Cardiff failing to take advantage.
Brighton only managed 36 points, two more than Cardiff, and the Seagulls only picked up 15 points in their final 23 Premier League games. Indeed, they only won two of the final 18 matches, three of the last 23. Chris Hughton has done his job, promotion and kept them up these past two seasons, but time for a change.
One thing I definitely agreed with, was the widespread belief that there would be no shortage of offers from elsewhere.
A club pushing for promotion from the Championship sounds about right and now The Telegraph are reporting (see below) that Chris Hughton is set to be interviewed for the job at West Brom, only days after leaving Brighton.
Having missed out on promotion under caretaker boss James Shan, the Baggies sound ideal.
With promotions at Newcastle United and Brighton already on his CV, you could see Chris...
