Manchester United plotting raid on Chelsea to bring in chief analyst Kyle Macaulay alongside Dan Ashworth

Manchester United will target Chelsea analyst Kyle Macaulay as part of the rebuild of the club?s recruitment department.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have set about making major appointments off the pitch with Omar Berrada brought in from Manchester City as the club?s new chief executive with Jean-Claude Blanc and Sir David Brailsford given positions on the board.
Recruitment has been an area United have been particularly woeful in since Sir Alex Ferguson?s departure over a decade ago.
The Manchester club want Dan Ashworth as their new director of football with the 52-year-old eager to leave his post at Newcastle United should the two clubs come to an agreement.
Further additions are expected with Jason Wilcox, currently the director of football at Southampton, in talks to join United as their new technical director.
The Sun report United are ready to raid another of their rivals in Chelsea for their chief analyst Kyle Macaulay, who has previously worked alongside Ashworth.
The Scot worked alongside Graham Potter at Ostersunds, Swansea City and Brighton before following him to Stamford Bridge in 2022.

Ashworth views him as a ?key appointment? and wants Macaulay to join him in Manchester.
