Thieves broke into the home of a Newcastle United striker just months after his teammate?s property was targeted a mile away.Â
It?s thought that the gang broke into £100m forward Alexander Isak?s four bedroom home in Northumberland via the back patio doors, roughly 48 hours before the team beat Fulham 1-0 yesterday.
There have been no reports of arrests made as of yet, though detectives are understood to be investigating whether the culprits are the same as broke into fellow Newcastle striker Joelinton?s home a few months ago.
Several high-profile footballers, including Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all similarly been the victims of what are known as ?away day gangs? ? groups of professional thieves who target players? homes when they are out of town for a game.
It is not clear at this stage whether anything was taken from Isak?s property, though a car is understood to have been stolen and later found abandoned around three miles away, in Dissington.
Speaking with The Sun, a neighbour said: ?Police are still piecing it together, but he was broken into.
?There has been a security van at the house with dogs.?
It was not immediately clear what, if anything, was taken from the striker’s home, though a stolen car is reported to have been found some miles away (Picture: Newca...
