Away form continues to be Wagner’s Achilles heel as City drop two points
That David Wagner has turned around City’s home form is not in doubt. Not since Bonfire Night have they lost at Carrow Road – a gear-grinding 3-1 at the hands of yesterday’s opponents – and so in our renewed spirit of reconciliation, that’s been duly recognised and applauded.
In that same spirit, let’s be generous and conclude that the away form remains a work in progress.
But let’s also be honest. While the current home form sees us set fair for a realistic crack at a playoff place, four wins from 17 games away from home suggests otherwise.
A record that reads four wins, five draws and eight defeats with 28 goals scored but 33 conceded is not the sort to give Messrs Corberan, Rosenior, Rowe, and Robins sleepless nights. And even if the good home form continues, somewhere along the line, Wagner’s men are going to have to start picking up threes on the road.
