Take nothing away from Scott Emmerson?s side though, to find themselves near the top of the WNL Division One South East without losing a game is an impressive feat – one that will set the club up well to challenge again next season.

Well, the draw at Carrow Road against QPR coupled with the 2-2 draw with Wimbledon took fate out of their hands and put The Dons in pole position to capture the title. An impressive away win against Cambridge United gave City a glimmer of hope, especially as Wimbledon lost in cup competition, and we knew that a rare double match week could pile on the pressure in the pursuit of the championship.
This brings us to Tuesday?s fixture at The Nest against Cambridge City. Despite knowing how big a victory would be, City produced a confident and mature performance and a determination to get the job done. It resulted in an impressive 6-0 victory in front of the green-yellow army and condemned the visitors to relegation.
The Canaries scored three times in each half, with Rachel Lawrence being the star of the show once again, scoring either side of halftime.
