To fully grasp the scale of this revival, it’s worth revisiting what was effectively its starting point.

Played 23, Won 13, Drawn 5, Lost 5. Goals for 43, Goals against 24, Points 44.
Ticking along at almost two points per game but, crucially, that goal difference…
