And so 2023 concludes as it began – with a miserable, soul-destroying 1-0 defeat. What has happened in between has also been miserable and soul-destroying.
On January 2, Watford were our conquerors at Carrow Road, and we were betwixt the Dean Smith and David Wagner eras. Allan Russell was thankfully only in temporary charge and while still bruised from our brush with Smudgerball, we remained hopeful.
