In a game where both sides need points for contrasting reasons at both ends of the Sky Bet Championship table, City travel to St. Andrew?s Stadium for their final game of the regular season against relegation-threatened Birmingham City.

After what has been a topsy-turvy season for Norwich City, where at one stage they sat 17th in the table and just seven points above the relegation zone, they are in pole position to secure a playoff spot in the Championship with a draw on the final day.

You would do well to find anyone associated with the football club who would have predicted that outcome, even if they had an overwhelming amount of optimism. Norwich are also not very used to losing anymore – they have only lost three times in the league in the 20 games they have played since the start of 2024.
Eleven of those have also been wins, so they are very much the form side in the playoff positions. They also haven?t lost away to Birmingham since August 2016 – falling to a 3-0 defeat courtesy of a Clayton Donaldson brace after David Davis had opened the scoring.

But getting that precious point is very much easier said than done – especially against a side who have got to win to stand any chance of survival and hope that those around them lose. The Canaries are also away from home, where they have only won six times in 22 attempts – the sixth-worst away form in the division.
