But, as we?ve learned from bitter experience, it?s deadly to count your chickens in this game, especially at this stage of the season. The unknowns and how-did-that-happens come at you fast.
In terms of what we do know, two wins from City?s final three games should be enough for sixth place and a rare tilt at the playoffs. I say two wins because even if Hull win all four of their remaining games ? one of them is against Coventry ? and City win two, despite us then being tied on 77 points we have an eight-goal swing in our favour.
So, one to keep an eye on, of course, but it?s hard to see the Tigers gaining enough goals to go above us if we?re tied on points. (Hopefully not famous last words).
Ideally, City get the job done ASAP, to avoid a final-day scrimmage at St Andrew?s, where there looks to be a fairly good chance that Birmingham will need something from the game to stave off the dreaded drop.

But, as we?ve experienced many times before, and as those who have played the game well know, when a game has to be won it becomes that much more difficult. The final couple of hurdles are almost always the most challenging.
All of which makes tomorrow?s game against Bristol City potentially a right bugger. Especially as said Robins of Brizzle are...
