Los Blancos want to play the match on Friday, April 26th so that they can prepare better for the first leg of the Champions League Semifinals against Bayern Munich. UPDATE: LaLiga have accepted Real Madrid?s request and the match will be played on Friday, April 26th at 21:00 CET.

Real Madrid have requested LaLiga to reschedule their upcoming away match against Real Sociedad so that it is played on Friday, April 26th instead of Saturday, April 27th. That?s according to a report from MARCA, who also suggest that Los Blancos are optimistic about LaLiga accepting said request. If that ends up to be the case, Real Madrid would have one extra day to prepare for the first leg of the Champions League Semifinals against Bayern Munich, scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th at the Allianz Arena in Germany. LaLiga have accepted similar requests from Atletico and Barcelona in the past, so it looks like Madrid?s petition could be successful if Real Sociedad also agree.
It?s clear that Madrid want to get ready for what?s expected to be a very intense and physical game against Bayern, who have nothing to play for in the Bundesliga and will be able to rest most of their starters ahead of that crucial opening leg.
