‘Have I made a mistake"’ – 30-year-old admits he had doubts about Spurs move
Ben Davies has admitted that he wondered if he had a made mistake by moving to Tottenham after initially struggling for game time at the club.
Davies is now associated almost exclusively with Tottenham and that will always be the case for the defender even after he retires as he has now been at the club for nearly a decade and has clocked up 329 appearances for the Lilywhites.
The Welshman has seen a number of highs and lows during his time at White Hart Lane and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, having worked under Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte and now Ange Postecoglou.
Davies has been asked to play a number of different positions, particularly over the last few years, and almost never lets the team down, delivering reliable and solid performances whenever called upon.

However, it was not all smooth sailing for the Wales international when he first made the switch from Swansea City as a 21-year-old, with game time being hard to come by at the time since Danny Rose was one of the best in his position in the Premier League.
Speaking about his early days at Tottenham, Davies told ESPN: “It was intense. The first few times I went in and I didn?t start the first few games, I?d just moved from Swansea where I was playing every game so I was a bit like, oh have I made a mistake" Should I have made this jump"
