‘I don’t see it as an issue’ – Postecoglou defiant over Spurs set-piece defending
Ange Postecoglou continues to be adamant that defensive organisation in set-pieces is not a problem for Tottenham, insisting that there are far more important areas for the side to work on in training.
It is fair to say that some of Spurs’ defending from concerns and free-kicks has left some Tottenham fans more than a little concerned over the course of the season.
There was a major negative reaction on social media after set-pieces once again proved the side’s undoing in the North London Derby, with the home side conceding two from corner kicks in the first half.
However, even after the 3-2 loss, Postecoglou was adamant in his post-match press conference that improving set-piece defending is not what is going to help his side bridge the gap to the best sides in the division (Football London).

Postecoglou is not concerned about set-piece drama
The 58-year-old has once again sent a defiant message to the media and the fans, insisting that he is not going to focus on improving the team’s set-piece defending in the training ground.
When asked about set pieces, Postecoglou said (via Alasdair Gold): “I think I’ve answered this question and I don’t think it satisfies people, but no I don’t see it as an issue. It’s something that we work on along with everything in our game. There are far more important things than that.
