Cristian Romero has refused to put a limit on Tottenham’s ambitions for this season, insisting that the team can achieve great things if they stick together.
The expectations among Spurs fans coming into this season were the lowest they had been for quite a while, given that the club limped to an eighth-place finish last campaign and are now embarking on a new era after the departure of their talisman Harry Kane.

Tottenham also have a manager in charge who is not proven at the highest level but the team has made a positive start to the season under Ange Postecoglou, and Romero believes that there is no reason that the Lilywhites cannot win silverware if the players play at their best. The Argentine told The Evening Standard: “I’m someone who thinks nothing is impossible, so if we keep up this level let’s see [what we can achieve].
“All the players are going to give everything, along with the staff, to take Tottenham as high as possible and try to win trophies. Things take time, but if we’re together, I believe we can achieve great things.”
