“We’ll see how it goes” – Tottenham player hints at possible exit, ‘boring’ sitting on bench



Michel Vorm is likely to start for Tottenham on Tuesday evening against PSV.
With Hugo Lloris on a red card suspension, Mauricio Pochettino has kept his options open for a replacement and hasn’t yet confirmed it will be the Dutch understudy.
But that’s what Vorm and the Dutch media appear to think, with the goalkeeper telling De Telegraaf it will be a “great moment” this evening as Spurs’ bunch of former Eredivisie players face a side from the Netherlands.
“We already talked about it with the other guys,” explained Vorm. “That six players from us played football in the Eredivisie. It’s fun and special to meet each other in this way in the Champions League. TheEredivisie may also be proud of that. I think I have a few good years for myself. My contract expires after this season. Then we’ll see how it goes.” Vorm doesn’t sound like he’s certainly staying at Tottenham and with no renewal yet, further doubt will obviously grow around his situation at the club.
At 35 years of age, he doesn’t have much time left to be a first choice elsewhere, and sounds a little fed up with being a back-up goalkeeper, telling De Telegraaf:“I feel very good. Now I have to make sure that I stay fit. It’s always boring to sit on thebench or in the stands.”
