Destiny Udogie names two things he has improved on since joining Tottenham
After playing 90 minutes in Italy’s 2-1 win over Venezuela, Destiny Udoguie has admitted that he has improved as a player over the last seven months owing to his experiences at Tottenham.
Despite being just 21 years of age, Udogie has already become an indispensable part of Ange Posecoglou’s side, with the youngster’s technical quality and physical attributes making him a nightmare to play against.
He has adapted very well to the demands of the inverted full-back role and there is plenty of excitement at Spurs about just how good he can become over the next few years.
Owing to his performances in North London, Udogie has broken into the Italian side, winning his third cap for the Azzuri yesterday as they edged out Venezuela, owing to a brace from Genoa striker Mateo Retegui.

Udogie admitted after the game that the match was trickier than he had his teammates anticipated, remarking that this new-look Italy side are still getting used to each other.
The Tottenham man told Rai Sport (as relayed by Football Italia): “It was a complicated match because they are a physical team that fights. This is their strength.
“I think the approach. Perhaps we underestimated them a little, but in the end, we made up for it. Like all players, we are adapting and getting to know the coach. We try to learn something new every day.”
