Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has named Tottenham captain Son Heung-min and Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong as two players the club should target in the summer.
Erik ten Hag?s side have closed the gap on the top four to just five points after their fourth consecutive Premier League win over Luton Town on Sunday.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are continuing their upheaval of the senior management team as they look to bring in Newcastle United?s Dan Ashworth as a sporting director.
Newcastle have confirmed that the 52-year-old has been placed on gardening leave, with talks set to ramp up over a compensation fee.
Ashworth may not be able to get started at Old Trafford by the start of the summer window but Yorke has suggested two names that the Red Devils should pursue regardless.
?I think we need a number nine, somebody up there with a little bit more Premier League experience and a good player like Son for me would be brilliant,? the former Premier League winner told Gambling Zone.
?He?s not like Harry Kane but he?s still got energy and brings so many goals, so someone like him would attract me very much to go and get.

?These clubs are all competing and to get those kinds of players will be difficult, especially if United don?t get the Champions League next season.?
