Fabrizio Romano reveals Spurs are in talks with lightning fast Bundesliga defender
Tottenham Hotspur have targeted Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven as part of their plans to improve their defence under Ange Postecoglou this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer expert took to social media to reveal that talks have already been held with the Dutch Under-21 international who is represented by the late Mino Raiola’s agency.
Romano has claimed that Spurs have added van de Ven to their transfer shortlist along with Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba, who also has admirers within the North London outfit.
Van de Ven, operates as a left-sided central defender and is known for his bistering pace, having been recorded as the ninth-fastest player in the Bundesliga last season.

Romano said on Twitter: “Tottenham have included Micky van de Ven on their shortlist for the new centre back alongside Edmond Tapsoba as both are appreciated by the club.
“Talks already took place for Wolfsburg?s Dutch centre back represented by team Raiola.
The Dutchman revealed earlier this month that he is happy at the German club, but confessed he would ?consider? a switch if a ?nice club? make an approach.
