Jamie Donley is having a bittersweet loan spell with Leyton Orient so far

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Donley may be getting plenty of first-team action with Leyton Orient so far this season, but it’s not all smiles for the League One club.

Leyton Orient struggling
Donley has featured heavily in every game for Leyton Orient this season since joining, including three starts from three in the league and a brief substitute appearance in the EFL Cup.
While the latter was a win for Orient, the club has yet to win in the league and are currently bottom of the table after four matches.
A report from Football.London describes Donley as the “creative hub” for his new team, and highlights the way the youngster has “provided plenty of quality and looked for the ball constantly” during his appearances.
However, in the latest game, a 3-0 defeat to Shrewsbury, Donley was caught out of position for the third goal after switching to left-back. It is thought he may not be used to playing in a team that does not cover for marauding runs forward from defence.
So, while the Spurs talent will be happy to be playing regularly, he will be hoping he can help turn around the team’s fortunes and help them avoid relegation.
