Predicted Tottenham XI to face Brentford – James Maddison starts
Tottenham Hotspur take on Brentford in the Premier League this mid-week as they look to bounce back from that FA Cup exit at the hands of Manchester City.
We believe that Guglielmo Vicario will remain between the sticks for the Lilywhites, while Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven will both start in the two centre-back positions.
Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro play as Ange Postecoglou’s trademark inverted full-backs, with Rodrigo Bentancur serving as the midfield pivot while Yves Bissouma is away with Mali.
Oliver Skipp offers energy down the right side, with Pape Matar Sarr not quite back in time to make the squad after Senegal’s early AFCON exit.
James Maddison returns to the starting line-up for the first time since his injury, and will offer some much-needed creativity for Tottenham.
This means Dejan Kulusevski can move back out to the right side of attack, with Brennan Johnson dropping to the bench for a game.
Timo Werner lines up on the left side of the front three after making some incredible runs against Man City, while Richarlison will look to continue his fine goalscoring form in the league of late.
