Report: Spurs and Man United both keen on Brazilian midfielder
Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes is having a fantastic season for Gary O’Neil’s side, and his performances have caught the attention of both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United who are keen to sign the Brazilian.
Joao Gomes only signed for Wolves in January of last year, but he has adjusted to life in the Premier League rapidly, and has particularly excelled this season in a much-improved Wolves team.
The 23-year-old has two goals and one assist to his name in 24 league games for Wolves, including a match-winning double against Tottenham last month (Transfermarkt).
Even before that stunning display, it seems Spurs were keen on Gomes, with a report from Fla Web (as translated by Sport Witness) claiming the Lilywhites were plotting a swoop for the midfielder.

Wolves may now have to fight off interest in Gomes in the summer, as top Premier League sides continue to monitor the player’s progress this season. That’s according to a report from HITC, in which it is suggested both Spurs and Manchester United are now paying “close attention” to Gomes.
Both clubs are known to be in the market for a new central midfielder, and are thought to be “among a number” of Premier League teams looking at Gomes right now. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also named as clubs following Gomes’ progress.
