Report: Spurs could start negotiations for 26-year-old ‘in next few weeks’Â
Quotidiano Sportivo have now claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are poised to begin talks with Genoa over a deal for Albert Gudmundsson over the coming weeks.
A number of Italian outlets seem convinced that Spurs are likely to make a move for Gudmundsson in the summer, with various websites naming the North Londoners as the main threat to the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma in their pursuit of the attacking midfielder.
This includes recent updates by ASRomaLive.it and Tutto Juve, who suggested that Spurs would not have any trouble meeting Genoa’s ?35m (£30m) asking price for the 26-year-old and pointed out that the North London club have a good relationship with the Italian side.

Spurs could make a move for Albert Gudmundsson soon
Quotidiano Sportivo are the latest publication to report on Tottenham’s interest in Gudmundsson, claiming that Ange Postecoglou’s men are following the midfielder ‘with great interest’ ahead of the summer.
In fact, the report adds that Spurs could start negotiations with Genoa over the players ‘in the next few weeks’ just as they opened talks over a deal for Radu Dragusin before the start of the January window.
It is said that the Italian market has become ‘more and more attractive’ to the Premier League side after the success that the likes of Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Destiny Udogie have had at N17.
