Report: Spurs set to make ‘formal move’ to beat Man United to 23-year-old
TEAMtalk have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now set to formalise their interest in Jean Clair-Todibo in an effort to beat Manchester United to the centre-back’s signature.
The report states that while Spurs had taken some preliminary steps to explore a deal for Todibo, there has not been any official contract between the North London side and Nice until now.
That is now expected to change as Ange Postecoglou’s men are now finalising their plans for the January transfer window.
The outlet says that Spurs now sense a chance to move ahead of the Red Devils in the queue for the France international’s signature.

TEAMtalk say that the deal might be difficult for Spurs to do since the Ligue 1 club’s owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has completed his 25 per cent purchase of Man Utd. However, Tottenham are now said to be ready to make the move to understand just how difficult the negotiations for the centre-back will be.
The publication adds that the Lilywhites have identified Todino and Genoa’s Radu Dragusin as their top targets, but are also continuing to keep an eye on Everton?s Ben Godfrey, Bournemouth?s Lloyd Kelly, Benfica?s Morato and Fulham?s Tosin Adarabioyo.
