Son Heung-min has finally addressed his bust-up with South Korean team-mate Lee Kang-in at the Asian Cup after the pair met up in London to apologise to each other.
The Tottenham star has been wearing strapping on his right hand after dislocating a finger in a scuffle the night before his nation?s shock semi-final defeat at the hands of Jordan.
Captain Son was unhappy that a number of younger members of the squad had rushed away from a team meal in order to play table tennis and an altercation happened when he and other senior players confronted them.
PSG attacker Lee is believed to have said ?disrespectful things? to his skipper, with the players having to be pulled apart ? which is when Son injured his finger.
Now both players have issued apologies after meeting up in London to bury the hatchet, with Son suggesting he could have handled the situation better as well as asking South Korean fans to forgive Lee for stepping out of line.
Alongside a picture from their meet-up, Son wrote on Instagram: ?Today, I want to address a somewhat serious and difficult matter.
?Kang-in has sincerely reflected on his actions and offered heartfelt apologies to me and all the players of the national team.
