Timo Werner’s stance on signing for Tottenham permanently

Timo Werner is reportedly very keen on making his loan move to Tottenham permanent but it remains to be seen whether the club feel the same way.
The Chelsea flop made a shock return to the Premier League in January when he joined Spurs on a short-term deal from RB Leipzig.
The forward failed to live up to expectations at Stamford Bridge but appears far more settled in North London, slotting in nicely in Ange Postecoglou’s side.
So far, the 28-year-old has scored twice and made two assists in nine appearances, with Spurs aiming to finish in the top four and guarantee themselves a place in next year’s Champions League.
And, according to The Telegraph, Werner wants to be there with the Lilywhites and has told allies that he would be happy for the move to become permanent.
As part of the loan deal, Tottenham have the option to buy the Germany international for around £14.5million – just over half what Leipzig paid to re-sign him from Chelsea in 2022.
However, that option will expire just before the start of Euro 2024 on 14 June, and while they could still make an offer after that date, the price may go up and they may face competition for his signature.
