Ange Postecoglou says he has no interest in ‘chat’ surrounding a move to Liverpool, stating that Tottenham still have a ‘long way to go’ under his management.

With Reds boss Jurgen Klopp announcing that he will step down at the end of the season, a string of managers have been touted as possible replacements.

Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is the clear favourite for the role, with Postecoglou not really considered a leading candidate, but he has been mentioned as a possible replacement for the German.

However, he is focussed on the task in hand at Tottenham, still in his first year in the job and in with a good chance of Champions League football, sitting fourth in the Premier League table.
‘I may be on a shortlist, [but] I don?t think I want to say anything about that because I don?t think that?s ever going to enter my brain space for what are my priorities in life and profession right now,’ said the Australian.

‘Well, I am [just getting started]. I don?t just feel [like it] ? I am. I?ve only been here seven months, so that?s self-explanatory.
