Lorient and Watford have found a deal for the transfer of Iram Louza, according to reports from France.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna writes on Twitter that the clubs have an ‘agreement reached’ for the 24-year-old’s move.
Louza is reportedly leaving Watford on a loan, set to stay at Lorient until the end of the season.
The story claims that the Hornets had previously turned down an offer from Metz, and now settled for a different offer.
The midfielder’s exit from Watford isn’t exactly a surprise, because earlier this week, reports from France had already been claiming that Lorient were about to place their bid for him. We now just wonder what convinced the Hornets to turn down Metz’s bid to now accept Lorient’s offer, as that may have been a decision from the midfielder himself.
Louza made 17 appearances for Watford this season, and had been a regular starter in the Championship since October, but then left the team and hardly got any chances to play.
His contract with the Hornets only expires in 2028, and we shall soon see if there’s any interest in negotiating him permanently.
