Liverpool slap hefty asking price on wantaway striker Sturridge

Wantaway
Liverpool have stuck a big asking price on wantaway striker Daniel Sturridge as he targets a January transfer to help his World Cup hopes.
The Englishman has gone well and truly off the boil at Anfield and in the England national team setup.
That is largely due to his best seasons being alongside Luis Suarez but injuries have also not helped at all.
The player is notorious for serious injuries and is known for spending the majority of his time in the operating room than on the pitch.
That has left his down the pecking order at Anfield with Roberto Firmino and even Dominic Solanke both ahead of him.
That has lead to the player requesting a transfer and there will be no shortage of teams lining up to sign the former superstar.
While that is a big boost for any clubs looking to sign him, the fee that the club want for him could put teams off. Asking price
Sturridge certainly has the quality but his injury record will prove huge for any club looking to sign him.
With that, the £30million fee that Liverpool are asking for the player may prove to be too high.
Southampton and West Ham are two clubs that have been closely linked but both would know that is an awful lot.
Not only that, the player would also command some very big wages so a deal might have to wait if no clubs take that leap of faith.
