Premier League duo make late swoop to hijack West Ham transfer

West Ham are set for an extremely busy transfer period during January’s window and the latest reports suggest that one reported deal that was believed to be close to conclusion could now drag on.
Bleacher Report’sDean Jones states that Newcastle United and West Brom have made late moves to sign Diafra Sakho from West Ham, amidst claims that Crystal Palace will tie up a deal for the striker this week.

The 28-year-old Senegalese international is surplus to requirements and the Eagles, who are also struggling with a battle to avoid relegation, have been tipped to tie up a deal worth around 12m this week.
Sky Sportsreported yesterday that Roy Hodgson’s side had agreed a fee with their fellow London outfit but late interest from West Brom and Newcastle could see the saga drag on, as West Ham may use this opportunity to get a higher price for Sakho’s services.
West Ham boss David Moyes is keen on bolstering his own forward line this January, especially with claims stating that both Andre Ayew and Javier Hernandez could follow Sakho out of the exit door during this month’s window.
