Stan Collymore blames West Ham fans for the London Stadium move



Stan Collymore on West Ham
In his weekly column in the Mirror, Stan Collymore has gone against the consensus opinion to attack West Ham fans.
Last weekend Burnley won 3-0 at the London Stadium.
However the game will be remembered for shocking scenes as West Ham fans invaded the pitch and demonstrated against the club’s owners.
Indeed, West Ham co-owner David Sullivan was reportedly hit by a coin during the troubles.
West Ham are now waiting to find out what punishment will be dished out by the FA.
‘It’s too late for West Ham fans to protest’
Most accept that West Ham’s move to the London Stadium has been a failure.
Everyone seems to hate the stadium, which feels out of place with the running track around the pitch. Yet, Collymore believes West Ham fans have no room to complain about the London Stadium. He’s argued:
One thing struck me after seeing what happened at West Ham: Were enough questions asked by fans before they moved into the London Stadium"
I think, as usually happens with lots of football fans, they got very giddy about moving to a new ground and swept away by the promises that come with it.
What Collymore failed to address is the broken promises which West Ham’s owners made to the fans before they left Upton Park.
Where are the world class players" Why is the club failing to move in the right direction" And where is the manager capable to turning the club’s fortunes around"
