West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been keeping tabs on AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Serbia international was restricted to one league appearance under José Mourinho this season, and his situation improved after the manager was replaced by Daniele De Rossi in January.
Since then, Svilar has made seven appearances, keeping two clean sheets and conceding seven goals in the process. ?Rediscovered? by De Rossi, the stopper has drawn attention from West Ham and Wolves.
Their scouts have already looked at the 24-year-old live in action in his side?s 4-0 Europa League victory over Brighton & Hove Albion last Thursday.
Gazzetta state the goalkeeper had ?enticed? the Premier League duo, and therefore, both West Ham and Wolves will send their officials to closely watch Svilar again, when Roma face the Seagulls at The Amex later today. It’s said West Ham and Wolves scouts will carry out a ‘special observation’ of the former Benfica man.
The Serbian?s deal lasts until 2027 and he’s not expected to leave soon, as the club?s leaders are convinced that he can be their first-choice goalkeeper in the future too. Therefore, Roma aren?t willing to consider his sale for less than ?12/13m.
That sounds a low amount and if they truly value him, rather than the recent appearances just being an anomaly, then it’ll likely be more.
