West Ham fan ‘fighting for life’ after being hit by street sweeper ahead of match tonight

A West Ham fan has been seriously injured after being struck by a road sweeper in Cologne, ahead of his team’s match tonight.
The 68-year-old man was hit at a pedestrian traffic light close to Cologne’s famous cathedral, with cops saying he suffered ‘life threatening injuries’.
The road sweeper collided with a traffic pole after striking the fan, leaving the driver injured as well.
It’s been reported the West Ham fan may have fallen under the brushes and suffered head injuries.
West Ham is set to play Bayer Leverkusen tonight for the Europa Cup quarter final tonight.
