Zidane was an interesting name? Noted pundit Didi Hamann was recently asked what he thought about Zinedine Zidane potentially becoming the new manager of Bayern Munich.
While Ralf Rangnick appears to be the leader in the clubhouse to become the new boss in Bavaria, Hamann talked about one specific reason why Zidane?s appointment is not in the cards. Interestingly, Hamann also backs an ?outside the box? candidate for the position as well ? Martín Demichelis.
?They don?t need to speak German, but they have to speak English. Apparently, Zidane doesn?t speak any English, so that?s him out of the equation. So, I would give that a miss. There?s talk about Demichelis now, who?s doing well in Argentina. Former player managed the second team in Munich up until a couple of or three seasons ago,? Hamann told Free Bets. ?I would probably tend towards Demichelis at the moment, but they?ve got to make a decision at some stage, because the players you bring in, they will want to know who the manager is. ?And there?s a lot of people talking within Munich. Sometimes you can talk about things for too long. You know, you can find positives, negatives about anybody and everybody. At some stage somebody has to make a call. And I think they get to the stage now where they have to make a decision and commit to somebody. Whether it works out or not, you only know when they?re there.?
