Scottie Scheffler can stroll to back-to-back-to-back wins by hitting it big in Houston

There’s some way to go before he matches the incredible 11 successive PGA Tour victories registered by Byron Nelson nearly 70 years ago but Scottie Scheffler looks unbeatable as he chases a third win in a row at the Houston Open.
It should be some week for the world?s best golfer who warms up with the weather at this time of year, having won four of six events as spring approached in 2022. The last of those wins was when he won The Masters at an Augusta and its picturesque Magnolia Drive.
Last year was a little quieter but Scheff still lifted trophies at the Phoenix Open and the Players and he?s started another streak by defending the latter title at Sawgrass a fortnight ago after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
Although he grew up in Texas, Scheffler was born in New Jersey and is a big fan of baseball?s New York Yankees so he can relax after 18 holes at Memorial by driving just five miles east of the golf course to watch the Bronx Bombers open their MLB campaign with three games against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.
He can certainly hit a home run for punters by winning the tournament at 11/4 with most top bookmakers and although the odds are short they are definitely worth taking.
