Thiago Alcantara has returned to the Liverpool squad for their final Premier League clash of 2020 against Newcastle.

Thiago has not featured for the Reds since sustaining a knee injury against Everton in the Merseyside derby on October 17.

However, he was incuded in the 20-man squad for Wednesday night’s Premier League meeting with Steve Bruce’s Newcastle.

Klopp has made two changes to his starting XI for the match.

James Milner comes into midfield for Gini Wijnaldum, while Joel Matip is replaced by Nat Phillips.

Regardless of the result, defending champions Liverpool will finish this calendar year on top of the Premier League.
