It looks like Japhet Tanganga has become the toast of Millwall in just a matter of months, with the centre-back’s teammates getting around him in their their end of season Awards Night.

After his disastrous loan spell at Augsburg in the first half of the campaign, where he did not play a single game, things have gone smoothly for Tanganga since his move to Millwall in January.

The 25-year-old has been a consistent performer at the back for the Lions and predictably, he has looked a cut above the rest in the Championship so far.

There is no doubt that quite a few clubs will be keeping an eye on the Tottenham man’s progress, with his agent, Roberto de Fenti, recently opening the door to a move to Italy (CalcioNapoli24).

It was reported by The Standard last month that Millwall harbour hopes of retaining the centre-back’s services for next season but the Championship club and the player are still waiting for a decision from Spurs.

By the looks of it, Tanganga would certainly not mind staying at the Den a little longer, with the Spurs academy graduate appearing to be a popular figure at the club and loving life in East London.
