West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberán has revealed his desire to give the club the ?greatest possible achievements” to help repay the ?love? he?s been shown by the fanbase.
The Spanish boss has been speaking to Panenka in Spain regarding his time at the Hawthorns so far, after arriving as manager in October last year.
He joined the club as they were languishing at the wrong end of the Championship table but eventually managed to turn things around and guide them to a ninth placed finish and just three points outside of the top six.
This season he has West Brom sitting seventh in the table with 26 points from 16 games so far, level on points with Sunderland in sixth.
The hope is that they can compete at that end of the table throughout the rest of the season, although with a 13-point gap already between the top two and themselves, an automatic promotion place seems unlikely. Instead, a shot at the play-offs looks more realistic, something Corberán has experience of achieving after getting Huddersfield Town to the play-off final in 2022, which they lost to Nottingham Forest.
His aims for West Brom are considerably higher, though, with him revealing as much in his latest comments.
