Without a club since leaving Olympiacos after 11 games, Carlos Corberan is about to land on his two feet at West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies have been without a manager since sacking Steve Bruce two weeks ago, but it appears they are on the verge of appointing the Spaniard.
That?s according to AS, who claim the 39-year-old is ?already travelling to English lands? in order to give his new contract at West Brom a final look.
Once that?s approved and signed, Corberan will ?immediately get to work?, as there is a ?lot to do?, with the Championship side currently 23rd in the league after 16 games.
West Brom have won just two of those games, drawing eight and losing the remaining six, meaning they are two points above Huddersfield Town in the standings, but just three points behind Middlesbrough, who themselves have just appointed Michael Carrick as their new manager. The hope is that Corberan can get the Baggies out of this situation relatively quickly, and get them climbing back up the table, as despite their poor start, they remain just 12 points behind a playoff spot.
