Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham target Sam Johnstone set for West Brom exit on free transfer

West Brom are expecting goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to leave the club when his current contract expires at the end of the season and there will be no shortage of suitors in the Premier League when he does.
The 28-year-old has been with the Baggies since 2018 but has regularly been linked with a move away, especially during his impressive performances in the Premier League last season.
Now with West Brom back in the Championship, the England international looks set to let his contract run down and spark a battle for his signature next year.
The Daily Mail report that the Baggies are now ‘virtually resigned’ to the ‘keeper not extending his stay at The Hawthorns and leaving on a free.
Johnstone has been linked with a host of Premier League outfits over the last year including his former club Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Southampton.
Much will come down to whether Johnstone wants a guarantee of first team football or whether he will be happy to take the role of second choice and try to force his way into a starting XI.
David De Gea has re-established himself as first choice at Manchester United, meaning Dean Henderson could be looking for a new challenge in the near future, leaving a space in the squad if he does exit.
