West Brom attacker Matheus Pereira has confirmed he wants to leave the club amid rumours that West Ham are ready to make a bid for his signature.

Pereira was part of West Brom’s squad that dropped down from the Premier League into the Championship after a 19th-placed finish last season but now wants to continue his career elsewhere.

The 25-year-old has not been involved in any of the Baggies? pre-season matches under new manager Valerien Ismael which has intensified speculation that a move is imminent.

Speaking at the weekend, Ismael said it was ‘clear’ that Pereira intends to leave and that the Brazilian was ‘not committed to the Championship and not committed to us’.

Reacting to Ismael’s comments in an explosive statement on Monday, Pereira said: ?I remained silent and was not going to address anything until after the transfer window out of respect for the fans and all my teammates, however after being called ?not committed? with the club I felt very disrespected as a professional.

?I don?t want to leave the club through the back door, that was never my plan or intention quite the contrary, I want the club to be adequately rewarded for believing in me and supporting me for two seasons.
