The Champions League clash between Arsenal and Porto is still a topic in Portugal, where many think the Dragons could have had more luck and got to the quarterfinals.
Today, we get to see some comments made to newspaper O Jogo, who feature a big interview with Paris Saint Germain midfielder Danilo Pereira.
The former Porto midfielder was asked about the Dragons’ matches against Arsenal, and claimed the Gunners didn’t do that well.
“I followed both games and I think FC Porto did very well, especially at home. I can’t remember a moment when Arsenal created any danger,” Danilo Pereira told O Jogo.
“We managed to make it 1-0 and win, but I knew it was going to be very difficult at the Emirates. Arsenal’s goal was against the run of play, but that’s football. We’re talking about a top-level team. Then there were the penalties and there, as well as skill, there had to be luck. Unfortunately it didn’t go FC Porto’s way, but the club and the fans have to be proud of what the team did, as I was.” Following the latest draw, Arsenal are now set to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League’s quarterfinals. The first game will take place in England on April 9th, and the decisive game will be played in Germany on April 17th.
