In need of a centre-back during the January transfer window, AC Milan were said to be very keen on bringing Jakub Kiwior back to Italy, as the Poland international was struggling for game time at Arsenal.
The public were fed a mix of different angles, some saying he wanted to return to Serie A, while others were adamant the defender was keen to prove himself with the Gunners.
The 24-year-old eventually stayed at Arsenal, but that doesn?t mean Milan have given up hope of attracting the player, as explained by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The newspaper recall that Kiwior wasn?t playing much during the first half of the season, but that has changed since the turn of the year, as he has found a new lease of life at left-back. He has two assists and a goal in his last four Premier League games, and that, as Gazzetta point out, has affected his price.
Bought for ?25m by Arsenal from Spezia, it?s made clear the Gunners ?will not make big discounts?, suggesting it would take at least that figure to convince them into a sale.
That?s something we?ll have to wait and see about, but despite being in mid-March, some plans are in motion over at the San Siro, with the Polish player firmly in their sights.
