Pre-Season Focus: Bournemouth
Bournemouth were another of last season’s surprise teams in the Premier League with the Cherries being many supporters’ favourites to be relegated.
Following a 9-0 defeat to Liverpool just four games into the campaign, manager Scott Parker was relieved of his duties with Gary O’Neil taking temporary charge. Following a good run of form, O’Neil was handed an 18-month contract in November as he guided the Cherries to Premier League safety. They finished 15th, 5 points from the relegation zone.
Despite his heroics, Bournemouth announced the sacking of O’Neil in June with owner Bill Foley stating it wasn’t an easy decision and said ‘I don’t feel good about it’.
On the same day as the sacking, they announced the appointment of Andoni Iraola as the new manager on a two-year deal. Stadium: Vitality Stadium

Tyrone Mings
Arguably one of the most important players for Aston Villa in recent years. Mings joined Villa in January 2019 on deadline day, on loan for the remainder of the season. In 18 appearances he helped Villa to promotion and will be remembered for being spotted at Bournemouth train station, still in his Villa kit the day after the Playoff Final.
He has since gone on to make 147 appearances for Villa and was also captain for the 2021-2...
