Everton have been in contact with CA Talleres winger Ramón Sosa and his representatives over a potential move this month.
That?s according to his agent Daniel Campos, via journalist Wilson González Bronce, who covers comments from the agent on contact with Everton this month.
Bronce covers Campos’ appearance on ABC Cardinal?s 730AM show today to discuss his client and a possible move in the January transfer window.
He first explain that LA Galaxy have submitted an offer worth $10m for the player, which Talleres rejected as they and the player ?waiting for a better market and a better offer? and aren?t ?in a hurry? to get it.
He then, according to Bronce, followed this up by explaining that he had recently made a trip to England and spoken to Everton. ?I was in England; I spoke with the sports director of Everton. There is no formal offer yet. We will see if we can move forward,? he is quoted as saying.
Now, crucially, ABC Cardinal did not share these quotes themselves, despite having shared the interview with Campos and his quotes on their own channels on X (formerly Twitter).
Instead, they simply quote him as confirming that there could be interest in the Premier League, without specifically mentioning Everton.
“Not only was there interest (from the Los Angeles Galaxy) but there was a formal offer that Talleres de Córdoba rejected,” he said.
