In November, Luis Díaz?s father had revealed that the Liverpool star dreams of making a switch to Barcelona.
The winger has scored 11 goals and registered five assists from 38 games this season and this has caught the La Liga side?s attention.
That?s according to Colombia?s El Heraldo, who state Barca president Joan Laporta had a meeting with the Liverpool player?s agent, Carlos Van Strahlen, last week.
The Catalan club, through Laporta, wanted to know the conditions needed to carry out a deal for the 27-year-old. It’s said the Blaugrana were surprised when they found out that Liverpool are asking between ?120m and ?140m for the Colombia international.
El Heraldo claim Laporta has told the representative that it’s ‘unfeasible’ for his side to meet the Reds’ request and a transfer would be ruled out, for the time being. The South American?s deal lasts until 2027 and he’s insisted on several occasions that he?s happy at Anfield. Jürgen Klopp will leave after this season and the outlet claims this ?can change the Colombian?s mind? to leave Liverpool in the summer.
Sport are also stating that Laporta had dinner with Díaz?s agent to discuss a possible transfer.
